    SEE ALSO...

Rpp38 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Rpp38 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Rpp38 antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rpp38 is a crucial component of the ribonuclease P (RNase P) complex, which is essential for the maturation of precursor tRNA molecules by removing their 5-prime leader sequences. This enzymatic activity is vital for the proper functioning of tRNA, which plays a key role in protein synthesis. Additionally, Rpp38 is involved in the formation of the 5′ end of 5.8S rRNA through its association with ribonuclease MRP (RNase MRP), highlighting its importance in ribosomal RNA processing. Both RNase P and RNase MRP are localized in the nucleolus, where they contribute to the intricate processes of RNA maturation and modification. Notably, Rpp38 has been implicated as a Th autoantigen in systemic sclerosis, an autoimmune disease, underscoring its relevance in both cellular function and disease pathology.
