    SEE ALSO...

Rpp20 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Rpp20 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Rpp20 antibody (D-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. Rpp20, also known as ribonuclease P protein subunit p20 or POP7, is a crucial component of the ribonuclease P and ribonuclease MRP complexes, which are essential for RNA processing in the cell. These complexes are primarily located in the nucleolus, where they play a vital role in the maturation of precursor tRNA molecules by removing their 5′ leader sequences, a process that is critical for the proper functioning of tRNA in protein synthesis. Rpp20, consisting of 140 amino acids, belongs to the histone-like Alba family and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 7q22.1 and mouse chromosome 5 G2. The interaction of Rpp20 with other protein subunits, such as POP1 and POP5, highlights its importance in maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of the ribonucleoprotein complexes, thereby ensuring efficient RNA processing and cellular function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514903 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
