SEE ALSO...

RPA135 Antibody (4H6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RPA135 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPA135 antibody (4H6) is available as the non-conjugated format. RPA135 protein plays a crucial role as a subunit of RNA polymerase I (Pol I), which is essential for the transcription of ribosomal RNA genes, thereby facilitating ribosomal biogenesis. Located primarily in the nucleolus, RPA135 interacts with other Pol I subunits, such as RPA16 and RPA40, to form a functional transcription complex. Assembly of these subunits is tightly regulated by various physiological stimuli, indicating that multiple signaling pathways are involved in the regulation of Pol I transcription. Notably, RPA40 is not only vital for the integrity of the Pol I complex but also serves as an essential component of RNA polymerase III, highlighting the interconnectedness of these transcriptional machinery components. RPA135 (4H6) antibody effectively detects this protein across different species, making RPA135 (4H6) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying ribosomal RNA transcription and its regulatory mechanisms.

Can sc-293272: RPA135 (4H6) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293272: RPA135 (4H6) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Hi, Does the antibody target against Rattus norvegicus cell lines? Thank you

Asked by: Darren
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend this mouse monoclonal antibody, RPA135 (4H6): sc-293272, for detection of RPA135 in samples of rat origin. It is currently only recommended for detection of RPA135 of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA.
