SEE ALSO...

RPA 70 kDa subunit Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the RPA 70 kDa subunit protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RPA 70 kDa subunit (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPA 70 kDa subunit is a critical component of the replication protein A complex, which is essential for DNA replication, repair, and recombination processes. RPA 70 kDa subunit′s ability to bind single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) is vital for maintaining genomic stability, as RPA 70 kDa subunit protects ssDNA from degradation and facilitates the recruitment of other proteins involved in DNA metabolism. RPA 70 kDa subunit′s interaction with ssDNA is characterized by a unique binding mechanism that involves a conserved four cysteine-type zinc-finger motif, which plays a crucial role in stabilizing the RPA-ssDNA complex in a redox-dependent manner. This stabilization is particularly important during the early stages of nucleotide excision repair, where RPA 70 kDa subunit acts as a damage-recognition protein, ensuring that DNA lesions are accurately identified and repaired. RPA 70 kDa subunit′s interactions with various cellular and viral proteins underscore RPA 70 kDa subunit′s significance in cellular processes, making RPA 70 kDa subunit a valuable target for research in DNA biology and therapeutic applications.

Can RPA 70 kDa subunit (H-7): sc-48425 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, RPA 70 kDa subunit (H-7): sc-48425 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
