SEE ALSO...

RPA 70 kDa subunit Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RPA 70 kDa subunit of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RPA 70 kDa subunit Antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPA 70 kDa subunit is a critical component of the replication protein A (RPA) complex, essential for DNA replication, recombination, and repair in eukaryotic cells. RPA 70 kDa subunit is primarily located in the nucleus, where binding to single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) occurs during DNA damage response and replication processes. Nuclear localization of RPA 70 kDa subunit enables immediate access to ssDNA regions requiring repair or replication, facilitating recruitment of other repair proteins and ensuring genomic stability. RPA 70 kDa subunit′s interaction with various cellular and viral proteins coordinates multiple pathways involved in DNA metabolism. RPA 70 kDa subunit′s structure includes a DNA binding domain composed of two homologous subdomains, crucial for forming stable complexes with ssDNA, thus preventing secondary structure formation that could impede replication and repair processes.

We hqve the lot# H2304. Do you consider it is still stable? I think the antibody has spend more than one year at 4C. Thank you so much for your help

Asked by: msjb
Thank you for your question. We provide a 12-month warranty on purchased products. If kept at its recommended storage temperature of 4 °C for one year the antibody should still be perfectly usable. Antibodies may still be stable after years of appropriate storage. If the antibody produces weak or unspecific signals or no signal at all we would recommend using a new vial.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-28304 X be used instead of the standard form sc-28304?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
