SEE ALSO...

RORγ Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RORγ protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RORγ Antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RORγ protein, a member of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily, plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses and is particularly important in the differentiation of T helper 17 (Th17) cells, which are essential for combating certain pathogens and are implicated in autoimmune diseases. RORγ is primarily located in the nucleus, where RORγ functions as a transcription factor by binding to specific DNA sequences known as hormone response elements (HREs). This nuclear localization is vital for RORγ′s role in gene expression regulation, influencing the development and function of various immune cells. The gene encoding RORγ is located on chromosome 1q21.3, and RORγ expression is notably high in skeletal muscle, highlighting RORγ′s potential involvement in muscle physiology and metabolism. Experimental studies suggest that melatonin may act as a natural ligand for RORγ, further emphasizing RORγ′s significance in both circadian rhythm regulation and immune function.
