SEE ALSO...

RNH1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RNH1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RNH1 antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RNH1, known as the placental ribonuclease inhibitor, is a crucial acidic protein composed of 460 amino acids, characterized by a high content of leucine and cysteine residues. RNH1 plays a vital role in cellular processes by binding to and inhibiting a wide range of ribonucleases, thereby regulating mRNA turnover and maintaining RNA stability within the cytosol. RNH1′s ability to bind angiogenin, a member of the RNaseA superfamily, is particularly significant as RNH1 inhibits angiogenesis, a process essential for tumor growth and metastasis. RNH1 may have important implications in cancer gene therapy, making RNH1 a valuable target for research and therapeutic applications.

Can RNH1 (C-10): sc-271725 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, RNH1 (C-10): sc-271725 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
