SEE ALSO...

RIG-I Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RIG-I of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RIG-I (D-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RIG-I, also known as DDX58, plays a crucial role in the innate immune response by recognizing viral components, particularly double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), which is a hallmark of viral replication. This 925 amino acid protein functions as an interferon-inducible DExD/H box RNA helicase, activating type I interferon (IFN) production in response to viral infections. RIG-I′s ability to detect elevated levels of dsRNA, which are typically low in uninfected cells, is vital for initiating an effective antiviral response. Upon binding to viral dsRNA through its helicase domain, RIG-I transmits an activation signal that leads to the expression of IFN via IκB kinase-related kinases. RIG-I is predominantly located in the cytoplasm of fibroblasts and conventional dendritic cells, where RIG-I plays a key role in distinguishing between various RNA viruses, thereby enhancing the host′s ability to mount a targeted immune response.

WAS KNOCK DOWN VALIDATION DONE FOR THIS CLONE OF RIG I A.

Asked by: Priyanka m
Thank you for your question. We have not yet performed any RIG-I knockdown experiments to confirm the specificity of this monoclonal antibody in a knockdown or knockout sample. We have extensive Western blot data on our website showing representative data with this antibody in different cell lines, as well as at least 4 known product citations with this antibody.

Hi. I would like to use this antibody to study RIG-I expression in mice or murine cell lines by flow cytometry. Did you ever test it by flow cytometry? Did any research paper use it before for flow cytometry? Thanks a lot for answering

Asked by: Nour
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not have any papers using this in Flow cytometry, and we have not tested this application in house. However, we would be glad to send you a sample of it to try, because it is definitely possible that it works great for Flow Cytometry. If you would like to try a sample, please contact our European Technical Service team. You can reach them by phone at Toll Free: +49 6221 4503 0, by email at: europe@scbt.com or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com
