SEE ALSO...

Rictor Antibody (1G11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rictor in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Rictor antibody (1G11) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing researchers with a versatile tool for studying this critical protein. Rictor, also known as the rapamycin-insensitive companion of FRAP, plays a vital role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of cell growth and metabolism. Rictor (1G11) antibody targets a key component of the mTOR complex 2 (mTORC2), which is essential for the phosphorylation of Akt/PKB at Ser473, a modification that is crucial for Akt′s full activation and subsequent role in promoting cell survival and growth. Proper functioning of Rictor is significant because dysregulation of this pathway is often implicated in various cancers and metabolic disorders. Rictor interacts with several other proteins, including mTOR and various members of the AGC kinase family, which further underscores its importance in cellular signaling networks. Rictor monoclonal antibody (1G11) enables researchers to gain insights into the complex mechanisms of cell growth regulation and potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with mTOR signaling dysregulation.
