SEE ALSO...

Ribosomal Protein S19 Antibody (WW-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Ribosomal Protein S19 (RPS19) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPS19 antibody (WW-4) is available as the non-conjugated format. RPS19 is a crucial component of the 40S ribosomal subunit, playing a significant role in the assembly and function of ribosomes, which are essential for protein synthesis in all living cells. RPS19 is located primarily in the nucleolus, where RPS19 is involved in the biogenesis of ribosomes, and proper localization is vital for efficient ribosome production. Deficiencies in RPS19 can lead to impaired ribosome assembly, which affects cellular protein synthesis and can result in severe consequences such as Diamond-Blackfan anemia, a condition characterized by a failure to produce red blood cells.
