Ribosomal Protein S13 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RPS13 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPS13 antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPS13, also known as 40S ribosomal protein S13, plays a crucial role in the assembly and function of the ribosome, which is essential for protein synthesis in all living cells. RPS13 is located in the cytoplasm and is a component of the small ribosomal subunit (40S), where RPS13 contributes to the decoding of messenger RNA and the formation of peptide bonds. Proper functioning of RPS13 is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating gene expression, as any dysfunction can lead to impaired protein synthesis and has been associated with various diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders. The gene encoding RPS13 is located on human chromosome 11p15.1 and mouse chromosome 7 F1, and contains multiple phosphorylated residues that may play a role in regulation and interaction with other ribosomal proteins. Anti-RPS13 antibody (C-3) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying ribosome biogenesis, protein synthesis, and the molecular mechanisms underlying ribosomal protein function.
