SEE ALSO...

Ribosomal Protein LP0 Antibody (1B4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ribosomal Protein LP0 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Ribosomal Protein LP0 antibody (1B4) is available as the non-conjugated format. Ribosomal Protein LP0, also known as RPLP0, P0, L10E, or RPP0, is a crucial component of the 60S ribosomal subunit, consisting of 317 amino acids and functioning as a neutral phosphoprotein. Ribosomal Protein LP0 plays a vital role in ribosome assembly and translation initiation, forming a pentameric complex with Ribosomal Proteins LP1 and LP2, which is essential for proper ribosome function in protein synthesis. Ribosomal Protein LP0′s interaction with other ribosomal proteins ensures structural integrity and functionality of the ribosome, fundamental for cellular growth and proliferation. Notably, overexpression of Ribosomal Protein LP0 has been linked to liver and breast cancer, highlighting its potential role in tumorigenesis and making Ribosomal Protein LP0 a target of interest in cancer research. Additionally, like many mammalian ribosomal proteins, Ribosomal Protein LP0 is represented by multiple processed pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome, indicating its evolutionary significance and complexity.
