SEE ALSO...

Ribosomal Protein L17 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ribosomal Protein L17 (RPL17) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPL17 antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RPL17, also known as rpL23, PD-1, or 60S Ribosomal protein L17, is a crucial component of the ribosomal machinery, consisting of 184 amino acids and belonging to the ribosomal protein L22P family. RPL17 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and plays a significant role in protein synthesis, which is essential for cell growth and function. RPL17 has been implicated in the regulation of sexual differentiation in brain regions of juvenile zebra finches, specifically influencing the genesis and survival of neurons in Area X and the robust nucleus of the arcopallium (RA). Understanding RPL17 function is vital, as this protein not only contributes to the fundamental process of translation but also may have broader implications in neurodevelopment and behavior.
