Rho T1 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rho T1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rho T1 (A-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rho T1, also known as ARHT1 or MIRO-1, is a crucial member of the mitochondrial Rho GTPase family, playing a significant role in mitochondrial homeostasis. Rho T1 is primarily localized to the mitochondrion and is widely expressed, with highest levels found in skeletal muscle and heart tissues. Structurally, Rho T1 is characterized as a single-pass type IV membrane protein featuring two EF-hand domains and two GTPase domains, one located at the N-terminus and the other at the C-terminus. This unique structure is essential for Rho T1′s function in regulating mitochondrial dynamics and trafficking, as Rho T1 interacts with kinesin-binding proteins such as GRIF-1 and OIP106. Notably, mutations in the gene encoding Rho T1 can lead to mitochondrial aggregation, highlighting Rho T1′s critical role in maintaining mitochondrial integrity and function.
