SEE ALSO...

RhCG Antibody (CB-62) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RhCG protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RhCG antibody (CB-62) is available as a non-conjugated format. RhCG, also known as Rhesus blood group family type C glycoprotein, RHGK (Rh glycoprotein kidney), PDRC2 (tumor-related protein DRC2), or SLC42A3, is a multi-pass membrane protein characterized by three potential N-glycosylation sites and is a member of the Rh subfamily of the ammonium transporter family. RhCG protein is predominantly expressed in the adult and fetal kidney, where RhCG localizes to the apical and/or basolateral cell membrane, depending on the species. RhCG functions as a non-erythroid, bidirectional, electroneutral ammonium transporter, playing a crucial role in renal ammonia metabolism. RhCG protein is found in key regions of the kidney, including the connecting segment, distal convoluted tubule, collecting duct, and initial collecting tubule, which are essential for renal ammonia secretion. Proper functioning of RhCG is vital for maintaining acid-base balance and nitrogen homeostasis in the body, highlighting RhCG′s importance in renal physiology and potential implications in various kidney-related disorders.

Can sc-100287: RhCG (CB-62) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100287: RhCG (CB-62) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
