RGS6/7 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RGS6/7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RGS6/7 (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RGS6/7 protein plays a crucial role in regulating G protein signaling pathways, which are essential for transmitting signals from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors. RGS6 and RGS7 are part of the RGS family of proteins that act as GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), enhancing GTP hydrolysis to GDP on Gα subunits, thereby terminating the signaling cascade. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring signaling pathways are activated and deactivated at appropriate times. RGS6/7 protein is predominantly localized in the cytosol and forms complexes with Gβ5 subunits, which preferentially target the Gαo subunit for hydrolysis, thus inhibiting Gβ1γ2-mediated activation of phospholipase C. This intricate interplay of protein interactions and regulatory mechanisms underscores RGS6/7′s importance in modulating G protein signaling, making anti-RGS6/7 antibody (F-10) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical pathways.
