RGS18 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RGS18 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RGS18 (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RGS18, a 234 amino acid peptide, is primarily expressed in megakaryocyte cells, as well as in hematopoietic progenitor and myeloerythroid lineage cells, and RGS18 expression is notably upregulated during megakaryocyte differentiation. This regulation is crucial as RGS18 plays a significant role in mediating megakaryocyte chemotaxis, which is essential for proper platelet formation and function. Structurally, RGS18 features phosphorylation sites for casein kinase II, protein kinase C, and protein kinase A, which are vital for regulatory functions. Additionally, RGS18 specifically interacts with G protein α subunits Gαi and Gαq, thereby influencing G protein signaling pathways that are critical for various cellular responses.
