SEE ALSO...

RGS12 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RGS12 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RGS12 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RGS12 plays a crucial role in regulating G-protein signaling pathways, acting as a GTPase-activating protein specifically for Gi class alpha subunits. This function helps modulate the duration and intensity of signaling initiated by hormones and neurotransmitters, thereby influencing numerous physiological processes such as cardiac function and neuronal signaling. RGS12 is characterized by a complex structure, including a Ras-binding domain, PDZ and PTB domains, and unique "LGN motifs" that serve as guanine nucleotide exchange factors for G protein alpha-subunits. The human RGS12 gene, located on chromosome 4p16.3, undergoes intricate splicing to produce twelve distinct transcripts, predominantly expressed in the brain and lung, with lower expression levels in the testis, heart, and spleen. This tissue-specific expression and diverse functional roles of RGS12 underscore its importance in cellular signaling and potential implications in various diseases, making anti-RGS12 antibody (G-4) an essential tool for researchers studying G-protein signaling pathways.
