SEE ALSO...

RGS10 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RGS10 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RGS10 (A-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RGS10 protein plays a crucial role in regulating G protein signaling pathways, which are essential for transmitting signals from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors. Specifically, RGS10 acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for certain G protein alpha subunits, enhancing their ability to hydrolyze GTP to GDP, thereby promoting signaling pathway inactivation. This regulatory function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring appropriate responses to external stimuli. Dysregulation of RGS10 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, highlighting RGS10′s importance as a potential therapeutic target. With versatile applications and critical role in G protein signaling, anti-RGS10 antibody (A-8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying cellular signaling mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.

Has RGS10 A-8 antibody been tried against mouse or human RGS10? Do you have any other recommendations for a C-20 substitute for immunofluoresence with mouse or rat tissue? We were very dependent on the C-20 antibody, any help you can give us in replacing

Asked by: Shelley
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we have not tested this antibody on mouse or rat tissues, so we do not know if it is reactive. If you would like to try a sample of this antibody, please contact our Technical Service Department by phone, e-mail or live chat directly on our website, and we will be happy to let you try a sample of sc-46679.

I am using RGS10 (A-8): sc-46679 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
