SEE ALSO...

RFC4 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RFC4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RFC4 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The replication factor C (RFC) complex, which includes RFC4, is crucial for DNA metabolism, playing a significant role in DNA replication, repair, and telomere maintenance. RFC4 is particularly important as RFC4 is involved in loading proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) onto DNA, a process essential for DNA synthesis and repair. This loading occurs at primer-template junctions in an ATP-dependent manner, highlighting RFC4′s role in facilitating DNA replication machinery assembly. Additionally, RFC4 is a key component of the BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex (BASC), which functions as a sensor for abnormal DNA structures and regulates postreplication repair processes, thereby contributing to genomic stability. The human RFC4 gene is located on chromosome 3q27.3 and encodes the RFC4 subunit, underscoring RFC4′s significance in maintaining cellular integrity and preventing genomic instability.
