Retinal RX Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Retinal RX in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Retinal RX antibody (G-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Retinal RX, also known as RAX (retina and anterior neural fold homeobox), MCOP3, or RX, is a 346 amino acid protein that plays a pivotal role in eye development by regulating the specification and proliferation of retinal cells. This nuclear protein contains a homeobox DNA-binding domain, a 60 amino acid motif crucial for binding DNA through a helix-turn-helix structure, thereby influencing transcriptional regulation and gene expression. Retinal RX expression in developing eye tissue and adult retina is significant, as defects in the Retinal RX gene can lead to microphthalmia isolated type 3 (MCOP3), a disorder characterized by corneal and lens opacities as well as scarring of the retina and choroid. Retinal RX (G-12) monoclonal antibody serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying eye development and associated disorders.
