SEE ALSO...

REEP5 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects REEP5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). REEP5 Antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. REEP5, also known as receptor expression-enhancing protein 5, C5orf18, DP1, TB2, or D5S346, is a 189 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in promoting functional cell surface expression of olfactory receptors. This function is particularly important as REEP5 facilitates detection of odorants, essential for the sense of smell. REEP5 belongs to the DP1 family and is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 5, a region that harbors around 1,000 genes and is associated with various genetic disorders. REEP5′s ability to enhance olfactory receptor expression underscores potential implications in sensory biology and related pathologies, making anti-REEP5 antibody (H-10) a valuable tool for researchers studying olfactory signaling pathways and associated disorders.

I am using REEP5 (H-10): sc-393508 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
