SEE ALSO...

RecQL5 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RecQL5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-RecQL5 antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RecQL5 plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability, particularly during DNA replication and repair processes, which is vital for preventing mutations that can lead to cancer and other genetic disorders. As a member of the RecQ helicase family, which includes other important proteins such as WRN and BLM, RecQL5 is involved in unwinding DNA, thereby facilitating proper functioning of cellular mechanisms that safeguard genetic integrity. Differential expression of RecQ helicases, including RecQL5, is essential in cells that are actively proliferating or undergoing transformation, as RecQL5 helps manage increased demand for DNA repair and replication. The gene encoding RecQL5 is located on chromosome 17q25.1, and while specific associations with genetic disorders are not fully understood, functional importance in cellular processes underscores RecQL5′s relevance in research and clinical applications.
