RCAS1 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RCAS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RCAS1 (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RCAS1 protein, also known as receptor-binding cancer antigen expressed on SiSo cells or estrogen receptor-binding fragment-associated gene 9, is an estrogen-regulated protein that plays a critical role in immune evasion by tumor cells. RCAS1 is primarily located on the cell surface and in soluble forms, where RCAS1 can interact with peripheral lymphocytes, thereby inhibiting T lymphocyte growth and promoting apoptosis. This mechanism is particularly important as RCAS1 allows cancer cells to escape immune surveillance, contributing to tumor progression. RCAS1 is expressed in a variety of cancers, including uterine, ovarian, and lung cancers, and high expression levels are significantly associated with poor patient outcomes. The human RCAS1/EBAG9 gene is located on chromosome 8q23, highlighting RCAS1′s relevance in cancer biology and potential as a therapeutic target.
