RBM45 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBM45 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBM45 (A-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBM45, also known as developmentally-regulated RNA-binding protein 1 (DRB1), consists of 476 amino acids and plays a crucial role in neural development, particularly in RNA metabolism regulation during neuronal differentiation. Structurally, RBM45 features four RNA recognition motifs (RRMs), although only three actively bind RNA due to sequence divergence. This structural characteristic allows RBM45 to interact with specific RNA targets, distinguishing RBM45 from other neural RNA-binding proteins like Msi1, HuB, and HuC, which have different binding preferences. RBM45 exhibits a poly(C) RNA-binding preference, essential for modulating gene expression during neural development. RBM45 is predominantly localized in cytoplasm but can shuttle to nucleus, reflecting a dynamic role in cellular processes. RBM45 expression peaks in neuronal progenitor cells, indicating importance in early neural development, while levels decrease in differentiated neural cells. Three isoforms of RBM45 arise from alternative splicing, further diversifying functional roles in cells.
