    SEE ALSO...

RBM24/38 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBM24/38 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBM24/38 (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBM24/38 protein, also known as RNA-binding protein 38 or RNPC1, plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle, particularly in response to DNA damage. RBM24/38 is primarily located in the cytosol and nucleus and exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, RNPC1a and RNPC1b, which consist of 239 and 121 amino acids, respectively. RBM24/38 maintains transcript stability at the 3′-untranslated region of p21, a key regulator of cell cycle progression at the S phase. By stabilizing p21 mRNA, RBM24/38 facilitates cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase, thereby preventing unregulated cell division that can lead to tumor formation. Additionally, RBM24/38 functions as an mRNA splicing factor, influencing the expression of fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 (FGFR2), which is vital for various cellular processes, including proliferation and differentiation. The presence of one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain in RBM24/38 underscores its role in RNA binding and regulation, making anti-RBM24/38 antibody (G-6) an essential tool for studying cell cycle dynamics and RNA processing in cancer research and other biological applications.
