RBM12 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBM12 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-RBM12 antibody (B-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBM12, also known as SWAN, HRIHFB2091, or KIAA0765, is a 932 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and alternative splicing due to RNA recognition motifs. RBM12 contains three RNA recognition motifs, which are essential for binding to RNA and facilitating ribonucleoprotein complex assembly. This function influences pre-mRNA splicing, affecting the production of various protein isoforms with distinct biological functions. RBM12 is localized in the nucleus, where RBM12 participates in apoptosis modulation and interacts with other proteins, such as copine I (CPNE1), suggesting a potential functional relationship that may impact cellular processes. The overlapping genes for RBM12 and CPNE1 at human chromosome location 20q11.21, sharing conserved promoter and 5′UTR regions across species, further highlight RBM12′s significance in cellular regulation and potential implications in disease mechanisms.
