SEE ALSO...

RB3 Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RB3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RB3 Antibody (B-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RB3 (B-11) antibody recognizes Stathmin-like protein B3, which plays a critical role in microtubule dynamics, particularly in brain tissue, where RB3 is involved in microtubule destabilization. This function is essential for various cellular processes, including cell division and intracellular transport, as microtubules are key components of the cytoskeleton that provide structural support and facilitate organelle movement. The unique N-terminal membrane-associated domain and C-terminal Stathmin-like domain of RB3 contribute to tubulin sequestration and microtubule destabilization, which is particularly important for neuronal function and development. RB3 dysregulation has been implicated in several cancers, including breast carcinoma and various leukemias, highlighting RB3′s potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Additionally, RB3 expression is associated with neuronal growth-associated protein Stathmin-2, which shares homology with RB3 and is altered in age-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer′s disease, further underscoring RB3′s importance in both cancer biology and neurodegeneration.
