RASSF7 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RASSF7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RASSF7 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RASSF7, also known as Ras association domain-containing protein 7, is a 373 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cell division by localizing to the centrosome, where RASSF7 is essential for proper formation of the mitotic spindle. This localization is vital because the centrosome serves as the main microtubule-organizing center in animal cells, and any disruption in centrosome function can lead to severe consequences, such as failed mitosis, nuclear breakdown, and apoptosis. The RASSF family, which includes RASSF7, RASSF8, RASSF9, and RASSF10, is characterized by a highly conserved Ras association domain and is implicated in tumor suppression and regulation of cellular processes influenced by activated Ras proteins. Alternative splicing of RASSF7 results in three isoforms that differ primarily at the C-terminus, which may have distinct functional roles in cellular signaling pathways.
