Datasheets
  • Rap1 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 811-835 near the C-terminus of Rap1 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin
  • recommended for detection of Rap1 of y origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for Rap1 Antibody (E-11) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with Rap1 Antibody (E-11) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

Rap1 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects RAP1 in various species through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RAP1 antibody (E-11) recognizes RAP1, also known as TERF2IP or DRIP5, a 399 amino acid protein located in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, which plays a crucial role in maintaining telomere integrity and regulating transcription. RAP1 contains one BRCT domain and one Myb-like domain, which are essential for its function. RAP1 is recruited to telomeric double-stranded 5′-TTAGGG-3′ repeats through interaction with TRF2, although RAP1 does not bind DNA directly. This recruitment is vital for the negative regulation of telomere recombination and for repressing homology-directed repair, processes that are critical for maintaining telomere length and genomic stability. The gene encoding RAP1 is located on human chromosome 16q23.1 and mouse chromosome 8 E1, highlighting its evolutionary conservation and importance across species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373790 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
