RANTES Antibody (VL1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects RANTES in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). RANTES, also known as regulated upon activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a potent chemoattractant for various immune cells, including monocytes and natural killer cells. RANTES is primarily expressed by platelets, eosinophils, fibroblasts, macrophages, endothelial cells, and T lymphocytes, highlighting RANTES′s importance in mediating inflammatory responses and recruiting immune cells to sites of infection or injury. Notably, RANTES is characterized by a unique structure that includes a set of conserved cysteine residues, which are essential for stability and function. The presence of these cysteines allows for the formation of disulfide bonds, contributing to RANTES′s three-dimensional conformation and ability to interact with specific receptors on target cells. Understanding the structural features of RANTES is vital, as these features directly influence activity and role in various physiological and pathological processes, including chronic inflammation and immune regulation. Anti-RANTES antibody (VL1) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the dynamics of immune responses and the underlying mechanisms of diseases associated with dysregulated chemokine activity.
