Ran GAP1 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Ran GAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ran GAP1 (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ran GAP1, also known as Ran GTPase Activating Protein 1, plays a crucial role in regulating the transport of proteins and RNA across the nuclear envelope, which is essential for maintaining cellular function and homeostasis. Located predominantly in the nucleus, Ran GAP1 is involved in the hydrolysis of GTP to GDP, thereby controlling the active and inactive states of the Ran GTPase. This regulation is vital for processes such as DNA replication and mitosis, as well as the transport of macromolecules through the nuclear pore complex. The interplay between Ran GAP1 and RCC1, which promotes the exchange of GDP for GTP, highlights the importance of Ran GAP1 in cellular signaling pathways. By modulating the levels of active Ran GTP, Ran GAP1 ensures that cellular processes are executed efficiently, making Ran GAP1 a key player in cell cycle regulation and nucleocytoplasmic transport.

I am using Ran GAP1 (C-5): sc-28322 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?
