Ran BP-3 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ran BP-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ran BP-3 Antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ran BP-3, a small Ras-related GTPase also known as TC4, plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as DNA replication, mitotic entry and exit, and the transport of RNA and proteins through the nuclear pore complex. Nuclear localization of Ran BP-3 is vital for these functions, ensuring effective interaction with nuclear transport receptors and other regulatory proteins. Guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) and GTPase activating proteins (GAPs) tightly regulate Ran BP-3 activity, with abundant GEF RCC1 enhancing GDP exchange for GTP to promote active Ran BP-3. Ran BP-3 functions as a scaffold protein facilitating export complex assembly, specifically enhancing Crm1 binding to RCC1 in Ran′s presence. Ran BP-3 also interacts with β-catenin, playing a significant role in Wnt signaling pathway regulation, highlighting Ran BP-3′s importance in both nuclear transport and cellular signaling processes.
