SEE ALSO...

RAMP3 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RAMP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RAMP3 (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RAMP3 protein plays a crucial role in modulating receptor activity, particularly in its interaction with calcitonin receptor-like receptors (CRLR). Located primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum, RAMP3 is essential for proper glycosylation and transport of CRLR to the cell surface, where RAMP3 functions as a receptor for vasodilatory peptides such as adrenomedullin (ADM). This interaction is vital for cardiovascular regulation and maintenance of vascular homeostasis. RAMP3, along with RAMP-1 and RAMP-2, exhibits structural similarities as type I receptors, characterized by a single extracellular N-terminus and cytoplasmic C-terminus, sharing approximately 55% sequence similarity. While RAMP-1 is predominantly expressed in uterus, brain, and gastrointestinal tract, RAMP-2 and RAMP-3 show higher expression levels in lung, breast, and fetal tissues, highlighting their diverse physiological roles.
