SEE ALSO...

Rak Antibody (H-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Rak protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rak (H-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rak protein, also known as GTK or PTK5, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in epithelial tissues, where Rak protein is involved in regulating processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and migration. Rak functions as a non-receptor tyrosine kinase, which is essential for the modulation of various cellular responses to external stimuli. The human Rak gene is located on chromosome 6q21-q22.3 and encodes a 505 amino acid protein that is specifically expressed in epithelial cells, highlighting Rak protein′s potential role in cancer biology and tissue homeostasis. By understanding the signaling pathways mediated by Rak protein, researchers can gain insights into Rak′s implications in tumorigenesis and other diseases, making anti-Rak antibody (H-12) a valuable tool for studying this important protein in various experimental contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166478 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
