SEE ALSO...

RAI1 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RAI1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RAI1 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RAI1, also known as retinoic acid induced 1, is a 1,906 amino acid transcriptional regulator predominantly expressed in neuronal tissues, where RAI1 plays a crucial role in embryonic and postnatal development. RAI1 influences gene expression patterns essential for proper brain development and function. Notably, heterozygous deletions of RAI1 are linked to Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS), a condition characterized by cognitive impairment, behavioral issues, and various physical anomalies. Individuals with SMS often exhibit self-injurious behaviors, sleep disturbances, and developmental delays, with RAI1 haploinsufficiency being specifically associated with obesity and craniofacial abnormalities. Additionally, mutations in RAI1 have been implicated in other neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and spinocerebellar ataxia type 2, highlighting RAI1′s significance in maintaining neurological health.
