SEE ALSO...

Raf-1 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Raf-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHCP, FCM, and ELISA. Raf-1 Antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Raf-1, also known as c-Raf or RAF1, is a crucial serine/threonine kinase that plays a significant role in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, which is essential for regulating cell division, differentiation, and survival. Raf-1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where Raf-1 acts as a key mediator in transmitting signals from activated receptor tyrosine kinases to downstream effectors, such as MEK and ERK. This localization allows Raf-1 to respond rapidly to extracellular signals, ensuring that cellular responses are appropriately coordinated. Dysregulation of Raf-1 activity has been implicated in various cancers, making Raf-1 a critical target for therapeutic intervention. Unregulated activity of Raf-1 can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, highlighting the importance of understanding regulatory mechanisms and interactions within the signaling cascade.

What is the difference between sc-7267 and sc-7267 P?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. sc-7267 is our standard unconjugated Raf-1 (E-10) monoclonal antibody. sc-7267 P is the blocking peptide matching this antibody that can be used as a negative control in combination with the antibody. For the protocol on how to use the blocking peptide, please see here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
