Rad51D Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the C-terminal epitope encompassing amino acids 233-328 of the human Rad51D protein, ensuring precise detection across multiple applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in mouse, rat, and human samples. Rad51D, also called TRAD, R51H3, Rad51l3, and Trad-d5, is a critical member of the Rad52 family of proteins, playing an essential role in the homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway that is responsible for repairing DNA double-strand breaks and maintaining genomic stability. Structurally, Rad51D forms part of the BCDX2 complex alongside Rad51B, Rad51C, and XRCC2, which is crucial for the detection and repair of DNA damage by facilitating the formation and stabilization of RAD51 nucleoprotein filaments necessary for effective homologous recombination. Post-translational modifications of Rad51D, such as phosphorylation and ubiquitination, are vital for regulating activity, interactions, and cellular localization, thereby ensuring efficient participation in DNA repair processes. These modifications influence Rad51D′s ability to interact with other key proteins, including BRCA1 and BRCA2, which are integral to the DNA damage response and repair mechanisms. The precise regulation of Rad51D through these post-translational modifications is essential for preventing genomic instability, mutations, and the potential development of cancer. Additionally, Rad51D interacts with other Rad52 family members like Rad52 and Rad54, enhancing the coordination and efficiency of the DNA repair machinery. Anti-Rad51D antibody (C-1) exhibits high specificity with no cross-reactivity against other members of the Rad51 family, providing reliable and accurate results for researchers investigating DNA repair pathways, cancer biology, and genomic integrity. Available in both non-conjugated form and various conjugated forms including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, Rad51D (C-1) antibody offers versatile solutions to meet diverse experimental needs.
