Rad51 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize the C-terminal epitope encompassing amino acids 311-339 of the human Rad51 protein, ensuring precise detection across multiple applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in mouse, rat, and human samples. Rad51, also called Reca and Rad51a, is a crucial recombinase enzyme involved in the homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway, essential for the accurate repair of DNA double-strand breaks and maintenance of genomic stability. Structurally, Rad51 assembles into helical nucleoprotein filaments analogous to bacterial RecA protein, enabling critical functions such as searching for homologous DNA sequences and facilitating strand invasion and exchange during repair.
