SEE ALSO...

RABIF Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RABIF protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-RABIF antibody (D-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RABIF protein, also known as MSS4, RASGFR3, or RASGRF3, is a 123 amino acid guanine-nucleotide-releasing protein that plays a crucial role in vesicular transport, which is essential for proper functioning of cellular processes. Specifically, RABIF is involved in exchange of guanosine triphosphate (GTP) for guanosine diphosphate (GDP) in Rab proteins, facilitating their activation and subsequent involvement in intracellular trafficking. This process is vital for transport of newly synthesized proteins from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi apparatus and ultimately to secretory vesicles, ensuring proteins reach their correct destinations within cells. Additionally, RABIF interacts with a subset of Rab proteins, highlighting its importance in regulation of endocytic pathways and overall maintenance of cellular homeostasis.
