SEE ALSO...

Rab 8A Antibody (63-BJ) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab 8A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Rab 8A antibody (63-BJ) is available as a non-conjugated format. Rab 8A protein plays a crucial role in intracellular transport, particularly in vesicle movement between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, which is essential for proper protein secretion. Rab 8A protein localizes primarily in the cytoplasm and regulates vesicle trafficking, ensuring proteins reach correct destinations within cells. Rab 8A′s importance in maintaining cellular function stems from involvement in both endocytosis and exocytosis processes, vital for nutrient uptake and waste removal. Rab 8A interacts with various effector proteins that facilitate docking and fusion of transport vesicles with target membranes, highlighting an integral role in cellular transport machinery. With functionality across multiple species and applications, Rab 8A monoclonal antibody (63-BJ) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying protein transport dynamics and cellular function mechanisms.

Can sc-81909: Rab 8A (63-BJ) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81909: Rab 8A (63-BJ) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Staining worksI got a sample and tested it. I used 1:100 dilution to MEF cells.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked fairly well on human tissueReceived a sample of Rab8a and used on human skeletal muscle, whole cell lysate. It had some non-specific banding higher than the target size of 27kDa. The target was less intense than the non-specific noise, but was still present and somewhat strong but only with a strong ECL substrate.
