    SEE ALSO...

Rab 3 GAP p130 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab 3 GAP p130 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 3 GAP p130 (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab 3 GAP p130, also known as Rab3 GTPase-activating protein catalytic subunit, plays a crucial role in regulating neurotransmitter and hormone exocytosis by converting active RAB3-GTP to inactive RAB3-GDP. This conversion maintains proper synaptic function and neurodevelopment, as required for normal eye and brain development. Defects in Rab 3 GAP p130 are linked to Warburg micro syndrome 1 (WARBM1), a severe autosomal recessive disorder characterized by significant developmental abnormalities in the eye and central nervous system, as well as microgenitalia. Rab 3 GAP p130 consists of 981 amino acids and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting functional diversity. Rab 3 GAP p130 is conserved across several species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, chickens, zebrafish, and fruit flies, and is located on human chromosome 2q21.3. Rab 3 GAP p130′s participation in neurodevelopmental processes such as proliferation, migration, and differentiation prior to synapse formation underscores importance in cellular signaling and development.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393540 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
