Rab 12 Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab 12 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rab 12 (H-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab 12 protein, consisting of 244 amino acids, is primarily located on the membrane of the Golgi apparatus and is a member of the Rab family of GTPase proteins, which are crucial for intracellular transport processes. These proteins are essential for the movement of carrier vesicles that transport newly synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi complex and ultimately to secretory vesicles, highlighting their vital role in maintaining cellular function and homeostasis. Additionally, Rab proteins, including Rab 12, are integral to endocytic pathways, facilitating the uptake of extracellular materials and the recycling of membrane components. Proper functioning of Rab 12 is critical for efficient vesicular trafficking, and any dysregulation may lead to various cellular dysfunctions, making Rab 12 a significant target for research in cellular transport mechanisms and related diseases.
