    SEE ALSO...

QTRTD1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects QTRTD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). QTRTD1 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. QTRTD1 protein, or queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase domain containing 1, is a crucial 415 amino acid enzyme involved in the modification of transfer RNA (tRNA) and the biosynthesis of queuosine, a modified nucleoside that plays a significant role in the proper functioning of tRNA. QTRTD1 protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm and the mitochondrial outer membrane, where QTRTD1 interacts with QTRT1 to form an active queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase complex. QTRTD1′s ability to exchange queuine for guanine at the wobble position of tRNAs with GUN anticodons is vital for maintaining the fidelity of protein synthesis, as queuosine modification enhances the stability and efficiency of tRNA. Additionally, QTRTD1 is part of the queuine tRNA-ribosyltransferase family and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 3, which is associated with various genetic diseases, including Marfan Syndrome and osteogenesis imperfecta, highlighting QTRTD1′s importance in both cellular function and human health.
