Datasheets
  • PYST2 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ PYST2 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 341-368 at the C-terminus of PYST2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of PYST2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, canine, bovine and porcine
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for PYST2 Antibody (D-8). This work is in progress.

SEE ALSO...

PYST2 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects PYST2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PYST2 (D-8) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. PYST2 protein plays a crucial role in regulating mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling pathways, which are essential for various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and response to stress. PYST2 functions as a dual specificity phosphatase, selectively dephosphorylating critical phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within MAP kinases, thereby inactivating members of the MAPK/ERK pathway. This regulatory mechanism is vital, as dysregulation of MAP kinases can lead to pathological conditions, including cancer. PYST2 is overexpressed in patients with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), highlighting potential as a biomarker for this disease and suggesting that targeting PYST2 may offer therapeutic avenues for intervention.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377106 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
