    SEE ALSO...

Pumilio 2 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects Pumilio 2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pumilio 2 is a sequence-specific RNA-binding protein that plays a crucial role in regulating translation and mRNA stability by binding to specific mRNA targets, which is essential for maintaining the balance of protein synthesis in cells. This regulation is particularly important in stem cells, where Pumilio 2 supports proliferation and self-renewal by controlling the translation of key transcripts necessary for development. The Pumilio gene encodes proteins that are vital for the development of germ stem cells in one or both sexes, and Pumilio 2 has been shown to interact with the human Nanos1 protein, suggesting a conserved role in germ cell development across species. Notably, Pumilio 2 is highly expressed in the testis and ovary, with lower expression levels found in the brain, heart, kidney, liver, muscle, placenta, intestine, and stomach, as well as in stem cells, germ cells, and most fetal tissues, highlighting its significance in reproductive biology and developmental processes.
