SEE ALSO...

PSTPIP1 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects PSTPIP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PSTPIP1 antibody (B-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSTPIP1, also known as proline-serine-threonine phosphatase interacting protein 1, H-PIP, PAPAS, CD2BP1, CD2BP1L, or CD2BP1S, consists of 416 amino acids and is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton, where PSTPIP1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton. PSTPIP1 contains one SH3 domain and one FCH domain, which are essential for interactions with other proteins, including CD2AP, BDP1, and c-Abl. These interactions suggest PSTPIP1 may function as a scaffold protein, promoting actin polymerization, which is vital for various cellular processes such as cell motility, shape maintenance, and intracellular transport. Notably, defects in the gene encoding PSTPIP1 are linked to PAPA syndrome, an autosomal dominant condition characterized by recurrent inflammatory episodes affecting the skin and joints. Additionally, multiple isoforms of PSTPIP1 arise from alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity in different cellular contexts.
