SEE ALSO...

PSR Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSR in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PSR antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The phosphatidylserine receptor (PSR) plays a crucial role in the recognition and clearance of apoptotic cells, as PSR specifically binds to phosphatidylserine, which becomes exposed on the outer membrane of cells undergoing apoptosis. This interaction is vital for the phagocytosis of dying cells by immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, thereby maintaining tissue homeostasis and preventing inflammation. PSR is predominantly expressed on the surface of macrophages, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells, with high expression levels noted in heart, skeletal muscle, and kidney tissues. Additionally, PSR is extensively glycosylated, which is important for its stability and function. The conservation of PSR across species, as evidenced by significant homology to proteins found in Caenorhabditis elegans and Drosophila melanogaster, underscores its essential role in cellular processes throughout evolution.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with PSR (D-4): sc-28349?

Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
