SEE ALSO...

PSMD3 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMD3 (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMD3, also known as proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase, 3, plays a crucial role in regulating the 26S proteasome, a vital complex responsible for selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins within eukaryotic cells. This process is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, regulating cell cycle, and modulating various signaling pathways. PSMD3, consisting of 534 amino acids and containing a PCI domain, is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 17, a region encompassing over 2.5% of the human genome and responsible for encoding more than 1,200 genes. PSMD3′s interaction with other regulatory subunits of the 26S proteasome is critical for recognition and unfolding of ubiquitinated substrates, facilitating their degradation and ensuring proper turnover of proteins that could otherwise accumulate and disrupt cellular function.
