PSMB6 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMB6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMB6 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMB6 protein, also known as proteasome (prosome, macropain) subunit, β type, 6, plays a crucial role in the proteolytic function of the 26S proteasome, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis by degrading misfolded or damaged proteins. This process is vital for regulating various cellular processes, including cell cycle, apoptosis, and responses to oxidative stress. PSMB6 subunit is part of the 20S proteasome core, which is composed of a cylindrical structure made up of four stacked rings, with outer rings containing seven alpha subunits and inner rings containing seven beta subunits, where PSMB6 serves as one of the catalytic β subunits. Proper functioning of the proteasome is critical, as dysfunction can lead to accumulation of damaged proteins and has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Anti-PSMB6 antibody (B-6) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying proteasome activity and its implications in health and disease.
